Ingredients
For the Pork Steaks
- 4 pork steaks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Creamy Mushroom Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the pork steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork steaks for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onions and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
- Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the pork steaks to the skillet. Spoon sauce over the top, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes or until the pork is fully cooked and tender.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
