🥘 Ingredients
Biscuits

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

¾ cup buttermilk
Sausage Gravy

1 lb breakfast sausage (pork)

3 tbsp all-purpose flour

2–2½ cups milk

Salt & black pepper to taste

Pinch cayenne or paprika (optional)

Make Biscuits:

Preheat oven to 220°C / 425°F.

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in buttermilk until dough forms. Don’t overmix.

Roll or pat dough to ~1-inch thick, cut biscuits, place on baking sheet.

Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
Make Gravy:

Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.

Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir 1–2 minutes to remove raw taste.

Gradually pour in milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Season with salt, pepper, and optional cayenne.
Serve:

Split biscuits, pour sausage gravy over top, and serve immediately.
