Apple Filling

👩🍳 Instructions

Heat oven to 190°C / 375°F. Line a baking sheet.

Make filling
In a bowl mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, lemon juice, raisins, and breadcrumbs. -
Roll pastry
Roll puff pastry into a rectangle on lightly floured surface. -
Fill & roll
Spread apple mixture along one long side, leaving border.
Fold edges in and roll into a log (like a jelly roll). -
Brush & vent
Place seam-side down. Brush with beaten egg.
Cut small slits on top. -
Bake
Bake 40–45 minutes until golden brown and crisp. -
Cool slightly & dust with powdered sugar before slicing.
